Thank you for urging the candidates to take stronger stands on Woodfibre LNG! Given the election is over, we've uninstalled our email tool. Our collective impact reminded them of how important this issue is to Howe Sound and helped at least one candidate strengthen their promises around the project.
In the end, citizens voted for change in West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky country—Pam Goldsmith-Jones won by a landslide. But our work isn't done. It's important to hold Pam to her promises, especially in light of the upcoming federal decision on the Woodfibre LNG proposal.
My Sea to Sky set up a good opportunity to take further action. Email the decision-makers, including Minister Catherine McKenna, and urge them to hold off on the approval of Woodfibre LNG. Let's keep the momentum going!
